Advocacy for Speech Therapy Services in Auckland

Posted on July 18th, 2007

Frustrated with the level of Speech Therapy services you and your child receive? Not sure how the system works, or who to contact?

There is a shortage of Speech Language Therapists worldwide, but we are starting with the resourcing challenges that the Auckland region is facing.

We will be advocating for a regional meeting of all interested parties to table our concerns and look for workable solutions. This will include Child Development Services, Cleft Team services and Education Services.

If you would like to help us by providing information, examples and or ideas on how this challenge may be overcome we want to hear from you. If you have questions that you cannot find answers to, we would like to know.

Your details will be kept confidential, but this may help both your individual situation and that of others in similar circumstances. Become involved, contact us with your information and ideas and we will advocate on your behalf.

Contact Susan Frear on susan@cleft.org.nz or ring on 817 9293.

Together we can make a difference.
