I don’t like my teeth, so I don’t smile. Then people think I’m grumpy? What do you do?

Lots of kids have crazy teeth. Smiling helps so much in showing people you are happy and approachable. So the pluses of smiling outweighs any self consciousness!

How long do you stay asleep for after the bone graft operation?

That's a good question! Everyone reacts differently to anaesthetic. Some people wake up quickly and others feel sleepy for quite a while. It can take your body a bit of time to fully wake up. If you want to make sure someone you know - like your mum or dad is there when you wake up, tell the nurse. So even if you are a quick waker uper you can have someone in recovery as soon as the nurses check you are safe. Phew that's good to know!

People are always sorry for me and treat me like i have some kind of disease What can i do?

This must be frustrating, but I understand what you mean! I think, the best way around this is to just do regular things with everybody else - do all the same things that your friends do, and remind them that you are normal! They will soon see that you don't have a disease. Good luck! 🙂

How can i talk to people my age that are like me without been on facebook?

There are a few different ways - you can give us a call on 0800 425 338 and we can put you in touch with people you age, and if you are 11 or older, you can go on our youth camps too!

I reckon it's great to tell your parents these things - they hopefully will be able to give you some helpful advice. Good luck! 🙂

Hi Kenny What is the best thing to say when people ask me why my lip is bumpy? I'm 6 and other children have just started to notice. From Ben

    Hi Ben,

So sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Depending on how comfortable you feel, I think telling them what really happened is a good idea - that you were born with a gap in your lip and the doctors fixed it and left a little bump behind. The other children will probably ask you some curious questions and tell you all about things that have happened to them too! All the best, Kenny

Hi,I have a question for you rerdaging the stats on youtube. The number of views shown below a video does not correspond to the numbers shown in the Statistics & Data drop down shown a bit further down for the same video. Sometimes the number is higher, sometimes lower when I add them up. How do I calculate the total number of views on a video? Do I add the numbers shown for different sources under Statistics & Data to the number shown below the video, or how do I come up with a correct number? Are embedded videos included in the number of views shown directly below the video? Are referrers included? Please help me out here, as it doesn't add up.

It's one of life's little mysteries. Might pay to ask YouTube that question. 🙂
